Since the beginning of 2023, 80% of our Antminers have been operating in the desert of the United Arab Emirates. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are building the largest solar parks on the planet and, with 362 days of sunshine a year, have more than enough renewable energy in the desert. Energy storage is also the number one issue here, as the abundance of solar energy available during the day is also required by the cities at night for air conditioning systems and the like.
We follow developments in the UAE on a daily basis and are pleased to be able to report on Bitcoin mining in the desert.
